This CME/CE activity is derived from content presented at the 6th Annual Advanced Curriculum for Multiple Sclerosis 2021 Virtual CME/CE Course. The expert faculty, led by Dr. Fred D. Lublin, will first review the science of the evolving spectrum of multiple sclerosis (MS) to better understand the course of MS disease activity, as well as optimal treatment solutions to reduce relapses, minimize the occurrence of brain lesions, and delay disability progression. Next, an analysis of the latest therapeutic advances in MS science, including oral fumarate therapies, for the efficacy, safety, and GI tolerability of newly approved therapies to treat patients with multiple sclerosis will be discussed. Lastly, the faculty will delve into the development patient-focused treatment strategies, utilizing the MS comprehensive care team to overcome barriers to treatment. The faculty will conclude with an interactive expert panel discussion, where the application of new science regarding patient-focused treatment strategies across the spectrum of MS will be discussed.
