PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Many common pediatric dermatological disorders can be identified and treated by general advanced practitioners. The few common pediatric dermatological disorders that will be addressed (in detail) include atopic dermatitis or eczema, eczema herpaticum, molluscum contagiosum and cutaneous warts. This course will address pathophysiology, up-to-date and evidence-based treatments, patient/family education and when to refer the patients to a dermatologist.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
As a result of participating in the activity, learners should be better able to: Recognize common pediatric dermatological disorders discussed in this presentation.Recommend and or treat common conditions discussed.Recognize when to refer patients to dermatology.
